GARR Conference is the annual meeting of users, operators and managers of the Italian national education and research network aimed at sharing experiences and comments on the use of the network as a tool for research, training and culture, in different contexts and disciplines.

At the hearth of this years’ conferenceare the new IT challenges in multidisciplinary research: from cybersecurity to artificial intelligence, from data preservation to their reuse, from education to open science.

These are topics of interest for the many communities that are part of the GARR network and are becoming more and more interlinked and multidisciplinary. The conference will be an opportunity to present success stories of innovation and topics for discussion for the world of academia, research, education, health and humanities.

Paola Pisano è l’Assessore all’Innovazione, Smart City, Servizi Demografici e Statistici e Sistemi Informativi della Città di Torino. Ha conseguito il dottorato in Business Administration ed è docente di Innovation Management pressol’Università di Torino. È stata Direttore del laboratorio Smart City di ICxT presso l’Università di Torino, è rappresentante della Città di Torino nell’incubatore del Politecnico di Torino (I3P - 5° incubatore europeo), nel Polo Tecnologico Wireless di Torino e nell’Advisory Board del Centro Energetico. È stata docente in visita alla GCU (Glasgow Caledonian University) di Londra e all’Università di Westminster ed ha pubblicato oltre 70 articoli sul tema dell’innovazione e dei modelli di business.

Paola Pisano is the local Councilor for Innovation, Smart City, Demographic and Statistical Services and Information Systems of the City of Turin. She got a PHD in Business Administration and she is now professor of Innovation Management at the University of Turin. She was Director of the Smart City laboratory of ICxT at the University of Turin. She represents the City of Turin in the incubator of the Polytechnic of Turin (I3P - 5th European incubator), in the Wireless Technology Center of Turin and in the Advisory Board of the Energy Center. She was visiting professor at the GCU (Glasgow Caledonian University) in London and at the University of Westminster and she has published over 70 articles on innovation and business models.
