A GARR cloud region at EMSO Western Ionian Facility
Giuditta Marinaro è un tecnologo dell’INGV e si occupa di progettazione, implementazione e coordinamento del programma di attività di ricerca tecnologica relativa al monitoraggio geofisico e ambientale dei fondali marini effettuato mediante osservatori sottomarini multiparametrici. Coordina il gruppo di ricerca "Multidisciplinary Research on Geosphere-Ocean-Atmosphere interactions" ed è membro del Engineering and Logistics Service Group dell'infrastruttura di ricerca europea EMSO-ERIC.
Giuditta Marinaro is a technologist at INGV and is involved in design, implementation and coordination of the program of technological research activities relating to geophysical and environmental monitoring at sea bottom carried out by means of multiparametric submarine observatories. She coordinates the "Multidisciplinary Research on Geosphere-Ocean-Atmosphere interactions" research group and is a member of the Engineering and Logistics Service Group of the European Research Infrastructure EMSO-ERIC.
Una regione cloud GARR presso la Western Ionian Facility di EMSO
L’INGV gestisce l’infrastruttura Western Ionian Facility, consorziata all’infrastruttura di ricerca europea EMSO. Il Western Ionian è in fase di potenziamento grazie al Progetto PON InSea finanziato dal MIUR. Nel 2022 saranno installati nuovi osservatori sottomarini multiparametrici ed uno SMART cable. Presso la stazione di terra di Portopalo (SR) sarà creato il primo EMSO Data Center, che sarà federato alla cloud GARR ed erogherà i servizi fondamentali dell’infrastruttura tecnologica di EMSO.

INGV manages the Western Ionian Facility, the Italian contribution to the EMSO-ERIC. The Western Ionian is being upgraded through the InSea PON Project funded by MIUR. New multi-parameter submarine observatories and a SMART cable will be installed by 2022. The first EMSO Data Center will be created at Portopalo (SR) shore station, it will be federated to the GARR cloud and will provide the main services of the EMSO technological infrastructure.
