ABSTRACT

The pandemic emergency has changed the way people interact: face to face meetings have been replaced by remote communication through audio and video conference systems. The need to satisfy a high demand for video communication services has turned into an opportunity to rethink and evolve the delivery model of the same. The BlueMeet experience has shown how, thanks to the distributed architecture of BigBlueButton (at the base of BlueMeet) together with a federative approach, is possibile on the one hand scale at organizations level for the user management through a delegation model, and on the other hand, to share computing resources to increase the overall capacity of the system in order to manage a wider audience.
