THE GARR WORKSHOP

Since the beginning of GARR history, the technical workshop has been an important meeting for experts in networking in the research and education community: an opportunity to receive professional updates and discuss about the trend topics of this domain.

A key topic of the program will be the new GARR-T network, but we will address many other issues together with community experts including the evolution of access infrastructures (LAN), security and identity, integration and support for HPC computing infrastructures, cloud and edge computing, data lakes and many applications and services to support the evolving needs of institutions, researchers, teachers and students.

Bradypus: cloud databases e web applications for archaeology and Cultural Heritage

Bradypus is a MIT licensed software aimed at the management and online publication of relational databases, presently used by about 30 Italian and international research projects, mainly focused on archaeology and Cultural Heritage. Thanks to the fruitful collaboration with GARR it was possible to design and realise and integrated infrastructure apt to offer the software following the SaaS paradigm. To this infrastructure are bound several research projects and finally educational initiatives as well.
