Since the beginning of GARR history, the technical workshop has been an important meeting for experts in networking in the research and education community: an opportunity to receive professional updates and discuss about the trend topics of this domain.

A key topic of the program will be the new GARR-T network, but we will address many other issues together with community experts including the evolution of access infrastructures (LAN), security and identity, integration and support for HPC computing infrastructures, cloud and edge computing, data lakes and many applications and services to support the evolving needs of institutions, researchers, teachers and students.

Andrea Sartori

Andrea Sartori è responsabile dal 2001 dell'area Networking dell'Università degli Studi di Verona, si occupa di seguire e, quando possibile, anticipare l'evoluzione dei servizi di connettività dell'Ateneo: dalla rete MAN multiplexata ai servizi di peering wireless con l'Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Integrata, passando attraverso i servizi di autenticazione dell'accesso alla rete e quelli di sicurezza e VPN, il tutto condito da un po' di sana burocrazia. Attualmente impegnato nel processo di digitalizzazione del servizio di telefonia analogica.

Andrea Sartori has been responsible for the Networking area of the University of Verona since 2001. He is in charge of the evolution of the University's connectivity services: from the multiplexed MAN network to wireless peering services with the Integrated University Hospital, dealing with network access authentication services and those related to security and VPN, also dealing with administrative aspects. He is currently involved in the process of digitisation of the analogue telephone service.
