Since the beginning of GARR history, the technical workshop has been an important meeting for experts in networking in the research and education community: an opportunity to receive professional updates and discuss about the trend topics of this domain.

A key topic of the program will be the new GARR-T network, but we will address many other issues together with community experts including the evolution of access infrastructures (LAN), security and identity, integration and support for HPC computing infrastructures, cloud and edge computing, data lakes and many applications and services to support the evolving needs of institutions, researchers, teachers and students.

GarrLab e primi risultati: automazione e auditing

Luca Vanni è un professionista ICT con oltre 10 anni di esperienza come SYS/NET administrator. Negli ultimi anni, attratto dal mondo FOSS e alle possibilità che il software libero offre, inizia a utilizzarlo quasi in via esclusiva per l’implementazione di soluzioni IT per i clienti. Dipendente dalla tecnologia, è appassionato di Arduino e di tutto quello che ruota intorno al mondo IoT. Luca è uno dei “padri” dell’infrastruttura sistemistica del GARRLab (https://www.garrlab.it/) e collabora alla sua gestione come amministratore.

Luca Vanni is a ICT professional with over 10 years of experience how SYS / NET administrator. In the last few years, interessed of FOSS world and at possibility which the open-source software offer, starts using it almost exclusively for implementing IT solution for customers. Technology addicted, is lover of Arduino and everything that revolves around the IoT world. Luca is an co-founder of GARRLab system infrastructure (https://www.garrlab.it/) and contribute to its management as global administrator.

L’intervento illustra brevemente l’infrastruttura sistemistica del GARRLab e i servizi su di esso ospitati con focus sull’automazione via Ansible (https://www.ansible.com/) messa in campo per la gestione/manutenzione delle credenziali di accesso SSH e relativo accounting degli stessi.

The intervention is based on a short overview of the Garrlab system infrastructure and a services hosted, with particular focus on automation tasks via Ansible (https://www.ansible.com/) for manage users SSH access credentials and relative accounting of the same.
