THE GARR WORKSHOP

Since the beginning of GARR history, the technical workshop has been an important meeting for experts in networking in the research and education community: an opportunity to receive professional updates and discuss about the trend topics of this domain.

A key topic of the program will be the new GARR-T network, but we will address many other issues together with community experts including the evolution of access infrastructures (LAN), security and identity, integration and support for HPC computing infrastructures, cloud and edge computing, data lakes and many applications and services to support the evolving needs of institutions, researchers, teachers and students.

INFN-Cloud, an easy to use, distributed, user-centric Cloud infrastructure and solutions toolbox

This contribution will describe the INFN-Cloud architecture and implementation. INFN-Cloud, whose architecture is designed to exploit heterogeneous cloud resources in terms of hardware and service delivery , currently provides a set of about 20 ready-to-use services that can be deployed to any of its federated cloud infrastructures through an easy-to-use web dashboard and via a Command Line Interface. The talk will also briefly describe the organisational and operational structure of INFN-Cloud, its Rules of Participations and its expected evolution.p>
