THE GARR WORKSHOP

Since the beginning of GARR history, the technical workshop has been an important meeting for experts in networking in the research and education community: an opportunity to receive professional updates and discuss about the trend topics of this domain.

A key topic of the program will be the new GARR-T network, but we will address many other issues together with community experts including the evolution of access infrastructures (LAN), security and identity, integration and support for HPC computing infrastructures, cloud and edge computing, data lakes and many applications and services to support the evolving needs of institutions, researchers, teachers and students.

Open Science in the GARR cloud: AI and ML services in the NEANIAS project

The NEANIAS project (EU-H2020) is aimed at the implementation of IT services for open science through cloud architectures, in the context of the European Open Science Cloud initiative. This talk will present some services related to the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques and Machine Learning to support scientific research, proposing scenarios of use in the astrophysics sector.
