Profili di garanzia dell’identità digitale della Federazione IDEM
Digital identity assurance profiles of the IDEM Federation
Lavora all'Università degli Studi di Milano dal 1998, inizialmente come collaboratore del servizio Strutture Informatiche presso il Dipartimento di Scienze dell'informazione e quindi, dal 2012, come sistemista presso l'Ufficio Sistemi della Direzione ICT.
Come membro del WP5.3 della 4EU+ Alliance ha collaborato alla configurazione del sistema di accesso federato alle risorse dell'alleanza.
Dal 2022 è membro del CTS della Federazione IDEM della rete GARR nel quale ha partecipato al gruppo di lavoro sulla definizione dei profili di garanzia dell'identità digitale della Federazione IDEM.
She has been working at the University of Milan since 1998, initially as a collaborator of the Information Structures Service at the Department of Computer Sciences and then, since 2012, as a systems engineer at the Systems Office of the ICT Division.
As a member of the WP5.3 of the 4EU+ Alliance she collaborated on the configuration of the federated access system to the alliance's resources.
Since 2022 she has been a member of the IDEM Federation CTS of the GARR network in which she participated in the working group on the definition of the digital identity guarantee profiles of the IDEM Federation.
ABSTRACT
Dopo un anno di lavoro e due consultazioni con la comunita' GARR, l'Assemblea della Federazione IDEM ha approvato i Profili di garanzia dell'identità digitale definiti dal Comitato Tecnico Scientifico della Federazione della Federazione IDEM e dal Servizio IDEM. I Profili di garanzia IDEM supportano gli standard definiti dal REFEDS Assurance Framework e permettono ai membri della Federazione IDEM di accedere a servizi avanzati per la ricerca che richiedono specifici livelli di garanzia come LUMI, il terzo supercomputer piu' veloce del mondo. In questa presentazione vedremo come i profili di garanzia IDEM si allineano alle pratiche di gestione dell'identità digitale definiti dagli standard governativi (eIDAS, SPID e CIE) e internazionali (ITU X.1254, NIST 800-63), permettano di aumentare il grado di sicurezza e affidabilità dei sistemi di gestione dell'identità digitale tramite procedure di accreditamento ben definite e la diffusione di metodi di autenticazione a più fattori.
After a year of work and two consultations with the GARR community, the Assembly of the IDEM Federation approved the Digital Identity Guarantee Profiles defined by the Technical-Scientific Committee of the Federation of the IDEM Federation and by the IDEM Service. IDEM Assurance Profiles support the standards defined by the REFEDS Assurance Framework and allow IDEM Federation members to access advanced research services that require specific levels of assurance such as LUMI, the third fastest supercomputer in the world. In this presentation we will see how the IDEM guarantee profiles align with the digital identity management practices defined by government (eIDAS, SPID and CIE) and international (ITU X.1254, NIST 800-63) standards, allow to increase the degree of security and reliability of digital identity management systems through well-defined accreditation procedures and the diffusion of multi-factor authentication methods.
